Recordist's notes
In memory of a quiet place and peace. The tranquil atmosphere of a residential courtyard between five-story Soviet-era buildings in Khrushchev-era Moscow on a quiet evening. Almost complete silence, the occasional footsteps of passersby. Davydkovskaya Street, Moscow. This recording was made before the area's reconstruction. In just a year or two, a large apartment block will be built here, bringing a completely different kind of silence—loud, yet familiar. ZOOM H5 XY
