Recordist's notes

rain rec via air harp (= wind harp) & ambient mics General recording set up: Selection of shorter recording from our garden on the edge of the village Mountshannon on the shore of Logue Derg. Multiple microphones are placed permanently in the garden (Rode NT4, DPA 4060, contact microphones attached to gong[s] and wind-harp[s]). Simultaneously there is active (or not )* “weather sensitive installation” (=WSi) consisting of various wind-chimes (from diverse resonant metals, wood, bamboo, polystyrene, etc), "sound-flags", wind-harps (air-harps) and gongs which are * in constant decay and evolution, transforming slowly over time by erosion and changed (or reorganized) sometimes radically according to intensity of the weather. I record very often, listening only to the sound situation in the garden or interacting from inside my studio, where I (= Slavek Kwi) can hear all components without disrupting the sound environment outdoors. Here, for Aporee, I am uploading only segments recorded without my interaction. Recordings of longer duration I am making available here: www.soundctuary.bandcamp.com and here you may listen to recordings with my interaction: www.alfa00.bandcamp.com
