Recordist's notes
first, recording via ambient mics - windy weather, then changing to recording via air harp (= wind harp). it continues here with interactions: https://alfa00.bandcamp.com/album/mlok and here without: https://soundctuary.bandcamp.com/album/0502-wind-chalktalk Biotop: The garden with mature oak, magnolia, ginkgo, some fruit trees, and some dense foliage behind the shed, located on the edge of village Mountshannon, not far from the shore of Lake Lough Derg. General recording setup: Multiple microphones are placed permanently in the garden (Rode NT4, DPA 4060, contact microphones attached to gong[s] and wind-harp[s]). Simultaneously there is active (or not )* “Weather Sensitive installation” (=WSi) consisting of various wind-chimes (from divers resonant metals, wood, bamboo, polystyrene, etc), "sound-flags", wind-harps (air-harps) and gongs which are * in constant decay and evolution, transforming slowly over time by erosion of elements and changed (or reorganized) sometimes radically according to the intensity of the weather. I record very often - mostly at night, listening to the sound situation in the garden and often “interacting” from inside of my studio, where I (= alfa00 sound entity of Slavek Kwi) can hear all participating sound entities without disrupting the sound environment outdoors. I am seeking to be an equal participant within a balanced sound organism, be here & now. Here, for Aporee, I am uploading only segments recorded without my interaction, though sometimes modified (mainly EQs) live slightly via the mixing desk. Recordings of longer duration are available here: www.soundctuary.bandcamp.com and recordings with my interaction are here: www.alfa00.bandcamp.com
