Recordist's notes

15th June, 2022 A small stream channelled through a culvert under the Sherpatrappa trail, a path that leads from the valley bottom through mixed woods to the higher, treeless, plateau. Recorded with two DPA 4060s positioned on either side of the stream near entrance to culvert. I thought about taking my mosquito repellent and mosquito net but left both in the Air BnB. As I sat next to the microphones, I was bitten on my neck, forearms and hands. As I made my way down the hillside, a hiker told me that this was the first day the mosquitos had emerged.
