Recordist's notes

The Évian-les-Bains funicular, also known as the "little Évian metro," connects the town center of Évian-les-Bains to the commune of Neuvecelle. Opened in 1913, it is the only funicular in France to have six stations. This recording features a soundscape captured at the lower station "Bains d'Evian" on September 6, 2025. It includes passengers disembarking, with the driver opening and closing the doors, passengers waiting to board, and the driver accessing the service area while waiting for departure. Recorded with a Zoom H5 and its built-in XY microphone.
