A hole is being dug in the middle of the street and it being the weekend, it's covered with a metal plate. There are no pedestrians, but the afternoon sun slants in over the street where cars encounter the metal plate as they pass in front of a now closed for the weekend elementary school. Nearby, a neighbor works in his yard.
