Recordist's notes

A recording of a sweet potato (yakiimo) truck. Yakiimo trucks are small Kei trucks with an oven on the back that drive around residential Japanese neighbourhoods, usually in the winter. They play sounds to attract attention, in this case an evocative whistling sound. I have been wanting to capture this sound for some time and this was an opportunistic recording as the truck appeared fairly suddenly, so it was made using Audioshare on my phone, as a 24/48 wav.
