Recordist's notes
This viaduct is one of the more important road equipment in all Belgium. It's an enormous metallic viaduct on an highway crossing the Mass / Meuse river. All internal structure is hollowed. This recording is made inside the box girder bridge, which is here in steel and not concrete. Trucks make enormous explosions, smashing joint with high velocity and high burden. Infrasounds are gigantic and make effects on the human body, it's sometimes difficult to sustain. It was very hard to record as everything terribly vibrate and drowned into infrasound strong waves, but an accomplishment. Flavien Gillié adviced me about this kind of recording, in a smaller structure, and thanks to him. It was a dream to record this mythical box girder.
