Thessaloniki Sound Diary no.1

It's been a while from the last recording I did. I now moved to Thessaloniki and I am a little bit far from the countryside. I have to adapt the new soundscape that I live in, that's why i start to keep a sound diary of my new life here in Thessaloniki. The most difficult thing for me in this town is that in every site the sounds are almost the same. There are so many cars here. You can listen the sound of the cars everywhere... Even in your dreams. This first recording isn't something special as it is only my way from home to the tobacco shop and back. Today is Sunday, so the rythms of the city are slow. The weather is cloudy and once in a while the sun is out. Everything outhere (from human beings to animals and to plants) is waiting for the spring. Record by: Alexandros Hadjitimotheou
