Recordist's notes

Wind energy turbine at the site of former village Altenwerder, which was demolished in the 1970s. The Evangelical Lutheran church of St Gertrud in Hamburg-Altenwerder, together with the cemetery which is no longer in use, is the last remnant of the former fishing village, which has now been completely replaced by the Altenwerder Container Terminal (CTA) and a neighbouring industrial estate. The green strip with the church and cemetery now lies within this industrial estate. (Zoom F3, DPA4060)
