Definition of Japanese pitch accent rules (numerals and counters)

Numerals, numbers and counters follow significantly different rules and trends from those of other nouns. Number–counter sequences can also be deaccented when used as adverbs (see Japanese pitch accent rules (non-common nouns) § Nouns used as adverbs).
