Recordist's notes
This area near the Best factory is a strange, surreal, empty landscape, covered in industrial coal waste, plants are beginning to re-establish. It is quiet and rather peaceful. Water black with coal dust gushes from rusty pipes. The sediment settles and the water, somewhat cleaner, flows into the larger pool. It seems relatively uncontaminated as many geese, duck and coots live here. Falcons fly around.
