Recordist's notes

We are sitting a long morning under a tree in a garden in Mufakosi township of Harare. You can hear the traffic of one of the main Through-roads just behind the garden-hedge. Blackheat DeShanti is jamming away with her band… children and neighbors drop buy and linger… “Deep in the Pulse of Africa…” More recordings with Blacheat here: http://archive.org/details/Voices_from_Harare_208 From: http://both-sides-of-the-zambezi.tumblr.com/
