Recordist's notes
This recording was made in our apple tree. After a long period of ill-health, I am feeling much better, and am able to do lots more in the garden. This has led to enthusiastic planning and creativity out there, including the acquisition of three lovely chickens who now live where the ducks (may they rest in peace) formerly resided. The chickens are beauties, and the abundance of food for them has attracted many wild avian buddies to the garden too, for whom I have been creating little seed bars out of suet, nuts, mealworms and other treats. Tits - in particular little Blue-tits - and the Robins and Wrens all totally love the suet treats and so yesterday I strapped my EDIROL R09 into the branches of the tree to record their little flittings and chirps. I'm sure one of the sounds is of a Blue-tit but if any of you know differently, please help me to better understand the tiny comrades who share our garden with us.
