Recordist's notes

We recently got three lovely Khaki Campbell ducks - my favourite breed - and installed them in an enclosure with a pond and the duck house that my family bought me for my birthday. Now each morning starts with the nice ritual of opening up the duck house, cleaning their food bowl and replacing the food in it, cleaning their water dish and tidying up the straw in their duck house. While I do these simple care things for the ducks they flap and quack and make a noise, as they do not really enjoy human interference in their duck lives. I love the duck buddies already, and especially the wonderful sounds they bring into our lives. Hopefully one day soon there will also be some eggs...
