Recordist's notes
This is the sound of a sparrow singing high up in the branches of what is now a dead tree. Sparrows are nesting in the roof of the house; they fly about the in a little squadron, belting out their rather tuneless peeps. Decided to go up a ladder and strap my recorder to a branch near to where they like to perch, in order to record their song more closely and hopefully hear them in a little more detail. Recorded with EDIROL R-09 cable-tied up in the tree.
