Recordist's notes

Santo Daime church is founded in the 1930's by Raimundo Irineu Serra aka mestre Irineu. He was a rubber tapper and at one time visited by the holy virgin Mary who instructed him to start this new religion which includes drinking of ayahuasca ('daime') and sing. During festival they are also dancing, from sunset to dawn.
