Communal restaurant amongst the gardens

The Vereinhaus of the Bornholmer II kleingartenanlage (allotments) is also a restaurant and bar open to the public. It's a very nice place for beer on this autumn day. There is classic rock & roll (Shake, Rattle and Roll by Bill Hayley and the Comets) on the juke box, people's conversation thickly mixing with the 6pm bells from afar. These gardens date back to the early 20th century and the people in possession often have been here a long time. It is a pre-1989 Berlin community from DDR times. However more English is being spoken than I expected.
