A heavy branch falls into the quiet atmosphere

The early autumn is very quiet in this huge Hinterhof. Sitting on one of the benches one sees neatly cut grass, tall trees and a creeper covered fence that divides the whole space lengthwise down the middle. There are metal bars for hanging washing. A family sits in a play area. The sounds are distant, music wafting from an apartment window, crows calling from the tree tops, small children chatter, the constant hissing of leaves in the wind. Suddenly a large branch breaks from high above. In all this space it misses me by 3 metres.
