Recordist's notes
Haren is an old village on the border of Brussels, which has undergone huge changes in recent decades. A beautiful 16th century farmhouse can still be seen, there are fields and houses with large gardens. Once it was famous as a chicory growing area. Now it is surrounded by railways, motorways and the international airport. Controversy rages over the building of a new prison here. On this day it is raining again, as it has for the last 3 weeks.
About the place
Evere is a town of about 41,667 people in Brussels Capital, Belgium. OttoAnna lists 8 field recordings from here.
