Recordist's notes
In the all-animals-eating collection, this recording is about a slug eating a spinach leave. I was wishing to do this on the same time of the snail recording, but this brat didn’t want to eat anything !! So, I put it in a pot during 24 hours, in a dry place, and I famished it. After this time of latency, strategy was to put it on a wet young spinach leave, as I know slug adore this kind of vegetables. I put two contact microphones below the leave, fixed on toothpicks. Slug immediately eat this banquet, making big holes in spinach. The sound of a slug eating is clearly more flabby than a snail, but it remains quite interesting.
