Recordist's notes
In the collection of the all-animals eating, here is the fly. It was very complicate to elaborate a strategy to record this kind of insect, fierce and moving. I disposed a very attractive carrion, a too old dry cat food. It was disgusting. Above, I put a transparent plastic box with a big hole done on purpose. I sticked a recorder exacly above the carrion (poor recorder !), with no more than 5 millimeters free, and I let the fly go on. The 5 millimeters free space is inteded to force the fly to walk on the recorder as the outside of the carrion was enveloped in a plastic film, the free space to lick was the recorder side. A moment, two flies are interested but the second one is distant. You can here the first insect fly over, it licks and immedialy, feel insecure. It walks again to carrion, licks, walk, fly... This is a fly life...
