Recordist's notes
Soundscape of a remnant of rainforest east of the village of Abaca. The dummy head microphone facing south. Around 3 min in the recording a Giant Forest Honeyeater (Gymnomyza brunneirostris) can be heard calling. One of Fijis endemic birds. Recorded with a Sound Devices 702 field recorder and a modified Crown - SASS setup incorporating two Sennheiser mkh 20 microphones.
