Soundscape of the Crau, an arid stony desert area. Unfortunately also close to Marseille airport... otherwise it would just be insects and birds. Binaural recording. Artificial head microphone set up on a stone heap. Microphone facing north east. Recorded with a Sound Devices 702 field recorder and a modified Crown - SASS setup incorporating two Sennheiser mkh 20 microphones.
