Recordist's notes

This recording is part of Get Rid! which is a project exploring the sounding culture of grassroots football in Oxfordshire. I made this recording at the home ground of Steventon FC and could just hear the higher frequencies of traffic on the A34. There were also sounds from a passing chinook helicopter and the Paddington to Bristol mainline. It was windy so you can occasionally hear tapping against the microphone stand from one of the cables. I consider that this sound is - like the other sounds - part of the situation and along with the occasional sounds of the wind through the trees gives the listener an idea of wind strength. This was recorded using Sound Devices 722T and an AT BP4025.
