Recordist's notes
Sitting next to a line of reeds topping the embankment above the creek. There's a constant crackling as the dry stems brush against each other and the drone of the wind through the long grass just below towards the creek - occasionally enhanced by the distant sound of a passing aeroplane slowly shifting in pitch as it passes. There is a bird scarer in the distance and hammering from the boatyard at St.Osyth. Birdsong articulates the distance between the reeds and the mudflats- waders, gulls and geese in the distance with warblers and skylarks hidden nearby amongst the reeds. Recorded with an AT BP-4029 and a Roland R-26.
