Margaret Munkuli from Manjolo interviews Ottilia Tshuma from Simatelele about one of the women’s projects collecting the leaves of the Ilala Palm and preparing these for weaving baskets… Ottilia describes in detail how this is done and how the women sell their baskets as a team… (the practice is one of the traditional women’s crafts among the Batonga; it is encouraged and taken further by Zubo Trust assisting the women in product development and marketing.) a recording made during the one-to-one training sessions of a workshop on documentation skills convened by Zubo Trust; Zubo Trust is a women’s organization bringing women together for self-empowerment. http://www.zubo.org
