Recordist's notes
A night recording on a beach in Mamaia, Romania. Being a popular destination for tourists, beaches in Mamaia are usually quite crowded and consequently the bars play music at all times. It is difficult to find a spot where you can just listen to the sea. There are some sweet spots in between terraces, but even there the bass travels and is present. This is the rumble that you hear in the lows, it is of a musical origin and not microphone issues. With EQ it can obviously be cleaned but this creates an impression of what could be and not what it actually is. Recorded on a Zoom F8 using a Superlux S502 ORTF Stereo Mic.
