Recordist's notes
On the floating quay itself, with white-hulled yachts moored on either side. More sheltered here from both the wind and from the sound from the fish processing plant. Recorded by hand-held stereo bar with pair of Line OM-1 Omni microphones. The industries associated with the sea, where he himself had found employment, were other aspects of the soundscape that the designer of our soundwalk wanted us (and the participants) to pay attention to.
Context
This recording was made away from larger towns, about 37 km from the nearest city in our gazetteer.
