Recordist's notes
The shoreline here meets the sea at a shallow gradient, small rocks break the surface of the water, strands of mustard-coloured seaweed sway in the currents, waves lap the shore. I have been perched on one of the larger rocks for a while but one of the seabirds seems suddenly disturbed by my presence, signalling alarm. Hooded crows call from further inland and under everything a steady low frequency smear.
