Recordist's notes

This recording is part of a Sound Diaries project investigating the soundscape of football pitches in Oxford and builds on Get Rid! a project that explored the sounding cultures of grassroots football. This project titled 'One goalpost for informal kickabout' explores the soundscape of the city through a series of soundwalks starting and ending at the SARU studio at the Old Fire Station, Oxford, England and visiting one football pitch at a time. During the walks I have made a series of 1'00" recordings. The project will document public and private spaces. This recording was made whilst standing on the small bridge that leads from Whitehouse Road to Grandpont Recreation Ground with a Tascam DR-40.
