Recordist's notes
This is the sound of Oxford Roller Derby practicing. The team is nearly all-female and I have been interviewing comrades within it about their relationship to sportswear and the fashions associated with this sport for my project, Fabric of Oxford. It is a fantastically violent contact sport and I was really interested to hear how much attraction this holds for women in particular.
