Recordist's notes
This is the sound of a Robin singing beside the Kennet & Avon canal in Reading. The water widens out slightly at this point, and the extra space plus the tall red-brick houses on the opposite bank of the canal, create a kind of resonant chamber to amplify the sounds of his song.
About the place
Reading is a city of about 318,014 people in England, United Kingdom. OttoAnna lists 153 field recordings from here.
