Recordist's notes
From inside the Spolsener Moor. Microphones were placed 50cm above ground near a swampy pond, pine and birch trees left and right. There is lots of dead grass around, from which a purring sound emerged. It seems to be particularly active when the sun is shining. First I thought it might come from the ground itself, but now I suspect some sort of insect that makes this sound from inside the dead grass. Recorded around mid day, 18°C, sunny and light wind from the south. Nevaton MC59 Omni in a baffled AB Setup, recorded with a Zoom F3.
