Recordist's notes
Trying to record the electrical discharges around the pylon, the rain suddenly got heavier. The sound of rain and the sound of the electricity are very similar, but occasionally the crackling comes through the rain. The drone at the end is mysterious. I thought it was wind in the wires, but actually there is no sign of that on the geofoon channel, so I think it was a train passing. 2x DPA 4060, Sanken Shotgun mic pointing at power lines, Geofoon on pylon. Now everything is slowly drying out at home.
