Quietness inside the fortress-like apartment blocks, crows, an approaching siren

The huge spaces inside these vast, fortress-like, former DDR apartment blocks is very impressive. There are large gardens, tall trees, extensive play areas and schools. But on this occasion, they are empty of kids and people, except one dog walker. It is quiet and one can hear the distance. A few starlings mutter to each other. The cawing of loud crows echoes and reverberates from the buildings and a distant siren from the city outside slowly seems to be getting closer. In fact, a fire brigade vehicle eventually enters this area, but with its siren silenced.
