migrant and local workers sorting garbage at one of the rare recycling sites. this one is located near a huge landfill in the north of Malta, a highly controversial project. Almost all waste of Malta goes here, but the disposal is not safe, according to EU assessment, poisonous fluids etc. are migrating into the ground, water and sea. (SD702, DPA4060)
