Recordist's notes

The red line in Austin stops just north of here and when it starts back up, it stops traffic at this intersection. It feels like an eternity but only takes a few minutes for it to slowly roll passed. The bell alerting drivers to the gate going down is digital, which becomes obvious at the end of the bell sound when it stops playing mid-ring. Recorded on an H2 with a HPF at 160 Hz to deal with some wind that kicked up between the gates going down and the train passing by.
