Recordist's notes
Fen Lane is a narrow corridor offered to wildlife running tight between the sterile silence of regimented, commercial orchards, and the putrid smell of an industrial poultry unit. Poultry can be heard incessantly over their heated, ventilated housing. In stark contrast, wild birds sing freely among the abandoned hazel coppice and large ivy-clad willow and oaks of the lane. https://sophiestandford.com/
