Recordist's notes

… this recording is due to a special request by myself towards the end of our workshop on documentation skills… I told the story of listening to and recording the Batonga Anthem during an award ceremony at Damba Primary School in 2012… and I asked the women if they can sing it… "the river belongs to the Tonga people... our ancestors are crying..." you may listen to the Batonga Anthem sung by the school children of Damba: http://aporee.org/maps/work/?loc=29368
