Recordist's notes
in october 2013, the worst fires in more than 50 years struck the blue mountains, dramatically changing the landscape, visually and aurally. because of the deep quiet of the burnt mountains i could hear the river from quite a distance and was very surprised to find it flowing through a gorge under steep dramatic cliffs, an incredibly beautiful sight and sound.
