Recordist's notes

( Organisation transhumance :http://www.aubrac-sud-lozere.com/ prise de son: http://irislancery.com In english: The Aubrac cows are reaching the Aubrac plateau with their farmers, to spend the summer. They will go down again to the farms in October. It is freedom on this wild and amazing plateau and the grass is incomparable ... This transhumance is a celebration to welcome the summer pastures on their land, they are richly decorated and accompanied from the stables by a crowd of hikers, who symbolically share this tradition. I am recording the arrival of the first flock preceded by a tractor that goes up their calves they will join in a few minutes, and as they feel them near, they are belling. They are too young to make the sometimes long road. (organizer: Association Aubrac Sud Lozère) recording: http://irislancery.com
