Recordist's notes
This recording was made during the second half of Wallingford Town AFC Reserves v Watlington Town First. I stood behind the goal outside the fenced perimeter of the ground. The soundscape is dominated by sound from the bypass and other surrounding roads. There is a high frequency drone - which sounds like a hiss - which is the sound of traffic from traffic on the bypass up to half a mile away. The more local sounds of traffic are from Hithercroft Road. It was a very windy day and so occasionally there is percussive sound from the fencing around the ground as loose ropes tap against metal frames. This recording was made with my Edirol R-09 HR and an ill fitting windjammer!
