Recordist's notes

this is more a socially-oriented testimony than a field recording. Might be off-topic but worth the case to post it here, as representative of social environment. Originally intended to record sounds of the street, the recorder was put on a window sill at ground floor. I was standing few meters away. An old woman passes by and intentionally puts the recorder in her pocket. When asked to give it back she justified with meaningless responses "is it a phone?" " ah... interesting thing" and heads away qietly. I was intentionally keeping quiet to understand her reactions.
