Recordist's notes
The Hinterhöfe, cemeteries and small green spaces in this part of Pankow are very secluded and quiet. A few tiny sound may occur nearby - a leaf falls or a small bird calls - but predominantly one hears distance. On this occasion it is children playing somewhere far away. At this spot the buildings channel sound mainly from two directions about 60 angle to each other. The children are from one, a ball sometimes bounces from the other. Unusually there are absolutely no planes. Other recordings from this area are partof the 'A study in distance' series, e.g. https://aporee.org/maps/?loc=58458&m=satellite
