Recordist's notes
We took our tiny Eriba on the North Coast (of Scotland) 500 and holed up here for the night. It was raining really hard but I braved the wet to go for my late night pee in the campsite loos. It was deserted and as I stood there I was entertained by the tune being played in the very slow filling cistern: drip, driplet, drippity, drip, drip. It was great and a big contrast to the wild lashing rain outside. I used my iPhone 5 to record this mono track
Context
This recording was made away from larger towns, about 68 km from the nearest city in our gazetteer.
Equipment mentioned: Smartphones. Phones have become surprisingly capable field recorders – many sound-map recordings were made on one.
