Recordist's notes

Sounds from the artificial waterfall at 601 Lex Ave recorded at street level, with sounds of traffic bleeding into the sounds of the water. This waterfall is relatively new and substitutes the original and much bigger artificial waterfall/fountain designed by Hideo Sasaki in the 1970s. The original goal of this waterfall feature was to "mask much of the street noise and add to the feeling that the passerby is free from the congestion of the street (1977)."
