Recordist's notes

The rain spatters on thick autumn leaves where I stand and on my coat. Occasionally other leaves fall in ones and twos. There are not so many left on the trees now. A close ambulance or fire truck sounds its siren loudly to the traffic. Road works are clogging up the flow here and it has trouble getting through. The siren echos from the buildings differently as it changes position. The sound seems to encircle me but the complex acoustics and sonic channels of this area make it impossible to know where it really is.
