Recordist's notes

Tucked away behind some quite busy streets in Brussels is this beautiful park. You can still hear the sounds of sirens drifting in over the walls, and the bassy, low frequencies of nearby and dense traffic... but the trees really provide a nice buffer from the noise of the city, and create lovely cavernous spaces which the Blackbird uses to amplify its wonderful song. This time mixed with rain, too. EDIROL R-09 recorder was used, with a map held above it as improvised recorder umbrella.
