Recordist's notes

St Elisabeth II cemetery is a woodland of tall trees (oaks and other species) with smaller shrubs and bushes around the graves. There are open spaces between trees, which in early spring are carpeted by purple and white crocuses. Berlin city rumble is the ever-present sonic background and S-Bahn trains regularly rumble or clatter by on the nearby railtracks. All these recordings are from an audio stream, which when set up usually allows about 36hrs of continuous listening. This location in the cemetery is close to a housing estate, so sometimes sounds from those living there are heard. This track was just after sunrise (06.26).
